Natasha finished this work on the day that marked 2 years since the invasion of Ukraine. Like a guardian angel, a Ukrainian woman stands protecting her land, holding a flower bouquet like a shield. Sunflowers and native wildflowers seen in the bouquet. her sleeve features elements of traditional Ukrainian embroidery which has long been used as a talisman against evil.
Natasha's painting is dedicated to people of Ukraine who continue to fight for their independence and democracy. Highly textural work.
